Why Youth Programs

Arts Education for Every Kid

Every kid deserves the chance to make art, try something new, and discover what they're capable of. In rural Tillamook County, access to arts education can be limited, so Bay City Arts Center has offered youth programs since 2003 to help fill that gap.

From visual arts and music to theater, radio, and hands-on creative projects, we connect young people with artists, new skills, and a welcoming place to explore their ideas. Our historic building offers a theater, art studio, galleries, musical instruments, and radio equipment, giving kids room to experiment, collaborate, and find their creative voice.

Our youth programs are free or low-cost, with materials and instruction provided. Scholarships are available, and we work to make sure cost isn't a barrier to participation.

Want to help more kids experience the arts? Parents, teachers, artists, volunteers, and community members all have a place here. Get involved by volunteering, sharing your skills, or making a donation to support youth arts education on the coast.

Check in with us if you're a parent volunteer who would like to help us build regular youth programming. We need your support!
