Some things at the Arts Center happen on a rhythm. Open studios, open mics, gallery openings. Come join!
These are the standing programs you can count on through the year. Each one also appears on the calendar alongside our one-off performances and workshops.
First Friday of the month, 5pm
Every month we feature work by local artists and makers in our two gallery spaces, one upstairs and one downstairs.
The galleries are open during the First Friday Artist of the Month reception from 5–7pm, during other BCAC programs and events, and by appointment.
Each December, our Artist's Gallery showcases our members' artwork as well as work by other community members.

Weekly on Wednesdays, 6pm
Calling all creative spirits, working in any media at any skill level! Envision an open studio committed to an inclusive and supportive environment for you to work on anything your heart desires. Connect with other artists or work quietly on your own.
There is no fee for the open art night; however, donations are encouraged in order to allow the Bay City Arts Center to offer this and similar events.
Open Art Night is hosted by Matt Sohler.
Thursdays, 6pm - 8pm
6pm - 8pm; Bring a song, poem, story, or stand-up comedy so we can enjoy the winter months and our gifts together. All ages, children 12 and under, please bring an adult.
