YOUTH AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMMING

New Youth Arts Program at the Bay City Arts Center coming Winter 2026!
Because after school art programming is hard to find in our rural community, we decided to create one. Thanks to generous support from the Oregon Community Foundation, The Roundhouse Foundation, The Marie Lamfrom Foundation, and the Tillamook Rotary Club, we’re thrilled to launch a new afterschool arts program for 3rd–6th graders beginning this January. Students will dive into theater, storytelling, sound, music, set design, and more—culminating in live theater and youth-led radio performances this March. This hands-on program is designed to spark creativity, build confidence, and provide a welcoming space for young artists to learn, explore, and shine. We’ll be partnering with the Tillamook School District and Garibaldi Grade School to spread the word. Spots will be limited—stay tuned for registration details! Interested in supporting this program as a volunteer? We would love to have you—please reach out! We imagine volunteers at every level of programming, including leading students in creating sets and costumes, lighting and sound design, acting and directing, games and food/snack preparations, performances and much more! Please note that we require background checks for all volunteer roles that engage with youth. |
